How AI Class Search works

A systematic, two-stage matcher — not a keyword lookup. It reads the meaning of your goods and validates every result against the official Nice list, so it never invents a term.

1

Describe your goods

Type what you make, sell or do — in everyday words. No need to know the legal vocabulary or class numbers.

2

AI maps to accepted terms

AI understands the meaning and finds the closest officially accepted Nice Classification entries — even when your wording doesn't match the registry's.

3

Get classes & cross-class flags

See every relevant class, the exact accepted terms to file under, and warnings where one product spans two classes (e.g. belts: leather vs clothing).

Why AI Class Search beats plain keyword search

Keyword search only finds entries that literally contain the words you typed. Real client wording rarely matches the registry's accepted vocabulary.

Plain keyword search

  • Matches only the exact words you type
  • Misses synonyms — "wallet" won't find "pocket wallets"
  • No idea your product spans two classes
  • You must already know the right terminology

AI Class Search

  • Understands meaning, not just words
  • "leather wallet" → "pocket wallets" (Class 18)
  • Flags cross-class goods automatically
  • Returns only officially accepted Nice terms

Frequently asked questions

How do I find the right trademark class in India?
India follows the WIPO Nice Classification of 45 classes (1–34 for goods, 35–45 for services). The right class depends on what you actually sell. Describe your goods or services in plain words in AI Class Search above and it maps them to the correct class(es) and the officially accepted terms to file under.
What's the difference between Class 25 and Class 35 for a clothing brand?
Class 25 protects the clothing products themselves (garments, footwear, headgear). Class 35 protects the retail/business side — your clothing store, website and e-commerce services. Most fashion brands file under both: Class 25 for the products and Class 35 for the store.
Can one brand need more than one trademark class?
Yes. Trademark protection is class-specific — a mark registered in one class does not protect you in another. Businesses that sell products and offer services, or whose products span categories (e.g. a leather brand selling bags + belts + clothing), often need several classes. AI Class Search flags these cross-class cases for you.
How is AI Class Search different from keyword search?
Keyword search only returns entries that literally contain the words you typed, so it misses synonyms and accepted phrasings. AI Class Search understands the meaning of your description and matches it to the closest officially accepted Nice terms — for example "mobile phone covers" maps to "covers for smartphones" in Class 9 — and it never invents a term that isn't on the official list.
