PoA, TM-A attachments & more — up to 24 MB

Why does IP India cap PoA uploads at 10 MB?

The e-filing portal enforces a 10 MB ceiling on Power of Attorney PDF attachments. A phone-scanned or photocopied PoA routinely comes out well above that — each page saved as a high-resolution photo rather than a compact scan — so the portal rejects the upload until the file is compressed. This tool re-encodes those embedded page images at a smaller size and quality until the PDF clears the limit, leaving the document itself untouched.

Two steps from oversized scan to filing-ready PDF

No account, no install — upload once and download the compressed file.

1

Upload your PDF

Any PDF up to 24 MB — a PoA scan, a signed form, a bundled attachment. Nothing is stored; it's processed in memory and discarded once compressed.

2

We compress it to fit

Embedded page images are progressively re-encoded at a smaller size and quality — starting mild and only going further if needed — until the file lands under 10 MB.

3

Download and attach

A portal-ready PDF lands in your downloads folder, ready to attach to your e-filing.

Questions about the PDF size requirement

What's the maximum PDF size for a Power of Attorney upload?
IP India's e-filing portal caps PoA PDF attachments at 10 MB. Phone or photocopier scans saved at full camera resolution routinely exceed that, which is the most common reason a PoA upload gets rejected.
Does this tool store or share my document?
No. Your PDF is uploaded once for compression, processed entirely in memory, and never written to disk or shared — it's discarded as soon as the compressed file is sent back to you.
Will compressing the PDF lose any pages or text?
No pages are removed and no text is retyped. Compression only re-encodes the embedded scan images at a smaller size and quality — the same technique used by any "reduce PDF size" tool — so the document stays intact, just lighter.
What if my PDF is still over 10 MB after compressing?
This is rare — it usually means the source scan had very little to compress (e.g. dozens of pages at maximum quality). The tool always returns its best possible result along with the achieved file size, so you can see exactly how close it got.
Is there a limit on how large a PDF I can upload?
Uploads are accepted up to 24 MB, which comfortably covers a typical multi-page scanned PoA or attachment.
