What is Dex-Watch?
Dex-Watch is Dexin's proactive monitoring suite. While the Portfolio keeps you updated on trademarks you already manage, Dex-Watch watches the wider India trademark ecosystem for new filings that matter to you — before they become a problem.
All four Dex-Watch tools run automatically. Once you set up your watches, scans happen in the background without any manual action needed.
The Four Watch Tools
Scans each week's India trademark journal for newly published marks that are similar to your portfolio trademarks. Every time a new journal is published, Dex-Watch fuzzy-matches the newly published marks against your trademark names and flags potential conflicts for your review.
How to use: Select a journal week from the Dex-Watch tab to see all similar new filings published in that week. No setup needed — the comparison is automatic based on your active portfolio.
The same concept as Journal Watch but applied to daily new filings — not just the weekly journal. Monitors every day's new trademark applications for similarity to your portfolio marks, so you catch potential conflicts as early as the filing date.
How to use: Select a date to see new marks filed that day that are similar to your portfolio trademarks. Useful for spotting conflicts before they are published in the journal.
Define custom keywords — brand names, concepts, or strings you want to protect. Dex-Watch scans every day's new trademark filings for matches to your keywords and logs any hits.
Match types available:
- Exact match — only the precise keyword
- Starts with — any new mark starting with your keyword
- Contains — any new mark containing your keyword anywhere
You can optionally restrict a keyword watch to a specific NICE class — so you only get alerts for relevant goods and services.
Manage: Add, remove, or pause individual keyword watches. Results are grouped by date found and shown in a filterable list.
Track a specific proprietor — a competitor company, a known infringer, or any entity whose new filings you want to monitor. Whenever they file a new trademark application, it appears in your Proprietor Watch results.
