What are Search Tools?
Beyond the main Latest Trademarks search, Dexin provides seven specialised search interfaces — each designed for a different research scenario. These are cards on the Search hub page in the top navbar.
Each tool searches the full India trademark database and is optimised for its specific use case — whether you need to classify goods and services, find an agent's filing history, or search by location.
The Seven Search Tools

Class SearchFind the right NICE class for your goods or services. Enter keywords (e.g. "software", "clothing", "restaurant") and Dexin matches them to the official NICE classification descriptions across all 45 classes. Results are grouped by class number and ranked by relevance — ideal for quickly determining the correct class before filing. Also available as a standalone public tool.

Document SearchSearch for official trademark documents (examination reports, opposition notices, replies, renewal documents) across the full registry database. Search by document name or trademark application number, then filter the results by the agent or attorney on record to drill straight to the filing you need — without opening each full trademark record.

Goods & Services SearchSearch across all India trademark filings by their goods and services description. Enter a product name, industry term, or service description to find all marks covering that area. Useful for competitive research, conflict assessment, and understanding how specific goods or services are typically described in filings.

Agent Search Pro / Pro Max 1 credit per resultFind all trademarks handled by a specific trademark agent. Enter an agent name (partial match supported) to see their complete filing history in the India registry — class distribution, status breakdown, and individual records. Useful for due diligence and understanding an agent's client base.

Attorney Search Pro / Pro Max 1 credit per resultFind all trademarks handled by a specific attorney of record. Enter an attorney name to see their complete trademark portfolio in the registry. Useful for checking a law firm's India trademark footprint and identifying which attorneys handle specific industries.

Proprietor Search Pro / Pro Max 1 credit per resultFind all trademarks owned by a specific proprietor — individual or company. Search by name to see their complete trademark portfolio in India across all classes and time periods. Useful for competitor research, due diligence on acquisitions, and understanding a brand owner's full IP position.

Address SearchSearch trademarks by the proprietor's registered address, city name, or pincode. Useful for geographic research — finding all trademark registrants in a particular location — or verifying a proprietor's address details against their registered records.
Plan & credit note: Agent Search, Attorney Search, and Proprietor Search require a Pro or Pro Max plan, and cost 1 credit per result viewed. Full Text Search, TM Number Search, Class Search, Document Search, Goods & Services Search, and Address Search are available on every plan including free Spark, without per-result credit charges.
