Auto Pilot
Everything pending in your portfolio on one page — exam reports, S.132 notices, formalities, counter statements, evidence, renewals and hearings — each with the Dexin tool that handles it, one click away.
What Auto Pilot is
Deadlines and hearings tell you what is due. Auto Pilot also tells you what to do about it — and lets you do it without leaving the page. Open it from Auto Pilot in the menu, right after Home.
Every pending item becomes a card: what it is, how many days are left, and the buttons for the work. Drafting a reply, checking the documents, preparing a POA, sharing a hearing with your client — each opens in a pop-up on the same page.
How it works
-
1
Pick a time window
Tabs for Overdue, This week, Next week, This month and Next month, each with its count. Overdue covers the last 30 days by default; a calendar button picks any other range.
-
2
Read the card
Each card shows the mark, the application number, the due date and a short hint. Exam report cards already show what the examiner raised before you click anything.
-
3
Act from the card
The card's buttons open the right tool in a pop-up — the draft, the documents, the POA Generator, the PDF tools, the hearing brief or the client message.
-
4
Note it, snooze it or dismiss it
Add a note (type it or dictate it), snooze a card for 3 or 7 days, or dismiss it. Switch between cards and a compact list at any time.
What each card offers
The exam report, already read
Every exam report and S.132 card shows, before you open anything:
- The objections in plain words — for example “S.11(1) similar earlier mark” or “S.9(1)(b) describes the goods / services”.
- What the examiner asks for — a user affidavit, a fresh power of attorney, corrected goods wording.
- The cited marks, with weak ones flagged — a cited mark that is no longer live, belongs to the same owner, or is already in your portfolio is marked, because that is often the reply's easiest argument.
Hearing briefs
A show-cause hearing is listed because the examiner was not satisfied by the reply. Click Hearing brief on the hearing card and Dexin reads the exam report and the reply on file — even a scanned one — and tells you the story of the file:
- A short summary of what was objected to and how the reply answered it.
- What the reply said against each objection, the use date it claimed and the evidence it relied on.
- Not answered in the reply — any objection the reply left untouched, so you can prepare for it.
- A timeline — filed, exam report, reply, hearing notices, adjournments, this hearing.
Download the brief as a PDF to keep it with the file. Briefs are not saved by Dexin; each one is read fresh when you open it.
Auto-draft (optional)
Switch on Auto-draft and Dexin drafts exam report and S.132 replies by itself, from the report on file and your note on the card, then emails you the Word file. It is off until you turn it on.
- Waits for your notes — 0, 3 or 7 days after the report arrives, your choice.
- Never left to the last day — a draft is made by 7 days before the due date at the latest, within your monthly limit and credit balance.
- A monthly limit you set, and each reply is drafted only once.
Notes, snooze and dismiss
- Notes are the same notes the Deadlines and Hearings pages show — write one anywhere and it appears everywhere. A note on an exam report card is used as the facts for its draft.
- Dictation — tap the mic and speak in English, Hindi, Gujarati or Marathi (Chrome and Edge).
- Snooze and dismiss are personal: they hide a card for you, not for the rest of your team.
